His cross-border investment banking experience within US and European investment banks (RW Baird, Bear Stearns, Rabobank) required the provision of M&A, debt and equity capital advice for a wide range of client types and sizes - both public and private, listed and unlisted.
Rob has also worked within the commercial and corporate development functions of state, angel and VC backed businesses. He led the structuring and delivery of equity, debt and M&A projects, in addition to undertaking commercial, finance and other strategic planning projects.

His experience in industry has complemented his work as a corporate finance advisor enabling him to better understand client needs. Rob likes to help clients understand the risk and reward of every (ad)venture.
Qualifications
Rob was awarded the Corporate Finance (CF) Qualification in September 2018.
​
Awarded a Distinction for the Diploma in Corporate Finance by the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England & Wales (ICAEW) and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in 2015.
​​
Prize winner for the CISI/ ICAEW Corporate Finance Techniques & Theory exam awarded at Mansion House in April 2016 as a guest of the Lord Mayor.
​
Rob is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (FCSI) and holds a current "Integrity Matters" certificate.
​
Rob is a Chartered Management Accountant and licenced by CIMA to work as a Member in Practice.
​
Rob was also awarded First Prize by CIMA after he achieved the highest mark in the UK South East for the operational case study exam taken in May 2015 (and 8th in the World).
Over 15 months, Rob gained 1st time passes on all 12 Professional CIMA accounting exams. He has committed to continue the CPD in finance to ensure he remains current with best practice which he shares with clients and business partners.

Rob is a certified partner for Xero and FathomHQ
Rob has a Master's degree in Transport Planning and Management from Cranfield University's School of Management which was sponsored by the Engineering Physical Sciences Research Council. He has a 2.1 B.Sc. from awarded by the University of Glasgow.

Rob also enjoys working with not-for profit charities. The Trust for Africa's Orphans (TAO) was a UK based charity operating in Uganda. They helped improve the health and lives of orphans throughout Uganda. Rob helped the charity develop monitoring and evaluation tools that were used to improve effectiveness, efficiency and economy; key considerations for any charity.

The film below was produced by Rob and is about a project based in Northern Uganda. In Nov 2015, TAO successfully gained new Comic Relief funds to extend its impact.

Rob also enjoys sailing with family and friends at the Shoreham Sailing Club
which is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

Rob is a Trustee of Shoreham Sailing Club and the Treasurer.
Rob spoke at Accountex on the rational of M&A deals and the steps in a sale process with the particular theme of understanding how to maximise value.
